Micro Financing Services

Micro Financing Services
Micro Financing Services (MFS) has been running from 2003, which is method initiated by Medco Foundation to encourage economic independence by providing funds for potential small businesses. MFS adapted the Grameen Bank concept which is based on empowerment, sustainability, and community encouragement.  This concept is similar to the vision of MFS programs which is to build potential small businesses and economic independence to move forward with the community. This program has been implemented in several Medco Group working areas such as South Sumatra and East Kalimantan; post-disaster areas such as Nangroe Aceh Darussalam, Bantul, and Pangandaran; and the lastest Medco Group stationed area in Jepara, Central Java.

The principles of these programs are:

1.    The spirit of entrepreneurships.
2.    Community-based.
3.    Human Resource-based.
4.    Sustainable.

MFS programs are expected to build a good and beneficial relationship between Medco Group and local communities that resulted in positive outcomes for both sides.
